About Us

Hi, I’m Dylan Galyardt. I grew up on a small farm, where being the oldest meant I was always hands-on—helping care for animals, building barns and coops, and learning the value of hard work early on. My mom called it “farm school,” and it’s where I first discovered my love for building.

In 2020, when school moved online, I chose to return to homeschooling and started experimenting with woodworking. What began as a simple interest in making walnut cutting boards quickly turned into something more. My dad started showing them off at his office, and soon I was filling custom orders. As the demand grew, I expanded into flags and furniture—each project pushing me to improve my tools, materials, and skills.

When I returned to in-person school, I brought my younger brothers into the shop and started teaching them what I had learned. Now, my long-term goal is to build a team of young craftspeople and mentor them not just in woodworking, but in business and craftsmanship.

At Custom Wood Furnishings, we craft custom wood furniture and cabinets for homeowners and builders seeking to make their spaces truly stand out. Based in Northern Colorado, we focus on quality materials, timeless designs, and precision craftsmanship. Every piece we build is made to last and designed to be something you’re proud to have in your home.

We build and sell custom wood furniture. Almost everything that we build is completely custom and built from the ground up just for you.
We build almost every component in-house. The only exception is our drawer boxes, which we occasionally outsource to a local shop.
We offer shipping of small decor items and install all larger products ourselves with an experienced team.
We use only high-quality woods. We source our material from all over the country and use only the best quality products.
We use only non-toxic, low VOC finishes
